In 2024, Daniel Arad founded Contamio as part of the Aviram Sustainability and Climate Program. What began as a mission to reduce waste in production facilities evolved into a broader commitment to regulatory compliance, food safety, and sustainability.
After seeing how recalls, legal claims, and contamination events cause massive waste, financial losses, and public health risks, it became clear the industry needed smarter, real-time solutions with a prevention-first mindset.

While working closely with manufacturers, we found a common frustration among safety and regulatory managers: outdated compliance tools. Despite high stakes, many relied on static, slow-to-update plans disconnected from real-world changes in regulations and operations. In a field where a single oversight can have devastating consequences, we knew there had to be a better way.

That’s why we built Contamio – not just as a technology platform, but as a smarter approach to compliance and safety. By combining historical regulatory and risk trends with real-time updates from both internal and external data sources, Contamio helps teams detect risks early and act decisively. Unlike static plans, our platform continuously adapts, delivering dynamic, product-specific recommendations to prevent problems before they escalate.
